Instructor & assessor refresherMore purposeful teaching, useful feedback and greater consistency in assessment decisions.Up to 8 experienced people · 2 practice days · 4–6 weeks€6,500per package · excl. VAT

Practise, apply, reflect

Two practical days separated by workplace application. We work on interactive facilitation, scenarios, observation, debriefing and consistency in assessment.

Includes intake, a bounded review of existing criteria, practice tools, individual teaching feedback and a 90-minute group follow-up. Usually delivered over four to six weeks.

Build on your existing criteria

This refresher is for experienced instructors and assessors and does not replace a full initial programme. Your team brings its current examples and expectations. Developing a substantial new competency framework is a separate project. This programme does not itself confer a formal instructor or assessor qualification.

The system your organisation needs

Support from the initial diagnosis through design, practical testing, rollout and handover. The scope can include competence criteria, learning pathways, instructor development, selected materials, evidence records and a regular improvement process.

We agree roles, locations, languages, training volume, tools and support before confirming a fee. A bounded implementation has an indicative planning horizon of three to six months.

A shared implementation

Your sponsor, subject experts and training owners take an active role. Software subscriptions, extensive content production, additional instructors, complex integrations and wider rollout are itemised separately.

Aviation work can include CBTA, scenarios and recurrent-training design. Aircraft-specific content and applicable approvals remain subject to the operator’s validation process.

Scope your training system

Preparation, materials and follow-up are included as described. Travel, accommodation, venues, software and additional instructors are agreed separately where needed. Prices marked “from” are confirmed once the scope is defined.

WHY COMPETENCY-BASED?

Doing the job well.
That is the starting point.

Competency-based training helps people apply their knowledge and skills at work. Clear expectations, realistic situations and focused feedback provide the foundation.

Train with purpose

Spend time on what your people need in practice.

Make quality clear

Use shared criteria for good work and useful feedback.

See progress

See what is going well and where further training can help.

How does this work in practice?Close the explanation
  1. Define good performance

Describe what someone needs to demonstrate in a real task.

  2. Train for what matters

Combine explanation with realistic tasks, scenarios and workplace learning.

  3. Observe and give feedback

Discuss progress and development needs using clear criteria.

  4. Improve with purpose

Shape further training around what you actually observe.

AN EXAMPLE

A good task handover.

Knowing the procedure is a start. In practice, someone also needs to explain priorities, flag outstanding risks and check that their colleague has understood. A realistic scenario lets you train those actions and discuss what went well and what could improve.

Lasting progress also requires support and follow-through at work.

THE EXPERTISE BEHIND OUR APPROACH

Cedric Buch.

Founder & principal consultant

Veneysis Advisory & Consultancy

For nearly twenty years, Cedric has worked and trained in aviation, one of the most demanding training environments.

That experience has shaped a clear conviction: the value of training lies beyond the final slide—in people’s ability to apply what they have learned, including under pressure. His background as a training manager is complemented by specialist expertise in competency-based training and assessment (CBTA) for cabin crew.

Through Veneysis Advisory & Consultancy, we bring that discipline to organisations with different needs and ambitions. We help aviation operators and training organisations develop and strengthen their CBTA approach. Beyond aviation, we help businesses make training more effective and efficient, with clear expectations, practical relevance and meaningful evidence of progress.

Our work centres on competency-based training and assessment, training design and management, and management advice for organisations that are developing or navigating change.
